Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before accessing or using My Jump Log.

1. About the Service and These Terms

My Jump Log is an independently developed skydiving record-keeping app offered free of charge. These terms cover its website and app at myjumplog.app and log.myjumplog.app. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

2. Record Keeping, Safety, and Acceptance

The app is a record-keeping tool. It is not a flight instrument, safety system, training service, or substitute for qualified instruction, equipment checks, or independent judgment. Do not rely on it to make real-time safety decisions.

My Jump Log is designed to include the logbook fields described in USPA SIM §3-1. It is not officially verified or endorsed by USPA. Providing those fields does not guarantee that a particular record meets current requirements or will be accepted for a license, rating, currency check, or dropzone review.

You are responsible for checking current requirements, the accuracy and completeness of your entries, and the authority and identity of signers. A stored signature image or Paper Verified label does not independently authenticate a signer or establish that a jump took place. Keep original signed paper records when relying on them. Acceptance is determined by the relevant reviewing official or organization.

3. Your Records and Responsibilities

Your records remain under your control in your Google account. These terms do not transfer ownership of your records to the developer. You authorize the app to process them as needed to provide the functions you request.

Keep your Google account and devices secure. Submit only information and signatures you are authorized to use. Do not forge signatures, falsify records, interfere with the service, or misuse access to other people’s data.

You can edit your spreadsheet directly, but changes to required tabs, column names, column order, or data formats may prevent the app from reading or syncing it. Review any converted or AI-generated data before using it.

4. Synchronization, Storage, and Recovery

Offline changes are stored locally until successfully synced. A record entered on a device is not necessarily saved to Google Drive yet. Check pending uploads and verify important records and signatures in your Google account.

Device loss, browser storage removal, software defects, sync failures, conflicting edits, spreadsheet changes, account restrictions, storage limits, and third-party service changes can cause loss, corruption, duplication, or unavailability of records. The developer does not maintain a separate recovery copy of your logbook and cannot promise recovery.

You are responsible for deciding whether to keep additional copies of important records. Removing the app or revoking access does not itself delete your existing Drive files.

5. Permission to Use the App and Availability

You may use the app for lawful skydiving record keeping in accordance with these terms. This permission does not transfer ownership of the app’s software or branding.

The service is currently provided without charge. There is no commitment to uninterrupted hosting, continued operation, updates, support, response times, or compatibility with future devices or Google services. The developer may change, suspend, or discontinue the service. Such changes do not transfer ownership of your existing records to the developer.

6. No Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The developer does not guarantee accuracy, security, availability, successful synchronization, data preservation, recovery, or acceptance of records by any organization.

Google, Cloudflare, and other third-party services operate independently and are subject to their own terms and policies. The developer does not control their availability or decisions.

7. Limitation of Liability and Your Legal Rights

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer, maintainers, and contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the service, including resulting loss of data, lost opportunities, or costs of reconstructing records.

The warranty exclusions and liability limitations apply only where legally permitted. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or removes mandatory consumer rights.

8. Updates and Severability

Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes will be identified through the website or app as appropriate, and additional agreement will be requested where required by law. Changes do not retroactively remove rights that have already accrued.

If a provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
