Privacy Policy
How your information is used, stored, and controlled.
1. Scope and Information Used
My Jump Log is a browser-based skydiving logbook. This policy covers the website and app. The app connects directly to Google to store your jump records and signature images in your Google account; the developer does not operate a central database of those records.
Google sign-in uses Google Identity Services and requests openid, email, profile, and the drive.file permission. The app uses your account identifier, email, display name, and profile picture, when provided, to identify your session. Access tokens, session credentials, and profile information are stored in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in across sessions. Sign out anytime to remove stored credentials. App preferences and logbook connection details are stored locally.
Jump records may include dates, locations, jump details, equipment, notes, signers’ license numbers, and signature images. The app processes this information to display, save, and sync your logbook.
2. Google Drive Permissions and Use
The drive.file permission limits access to specific files created by the app or explicitly opened or shared with it. It does not provide general access to all files in your Drive. My Jump Log uses this permission to create and manage logbook spreadsheets, folders, and signature images.
My Jump Log’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. The app sends records to Google to provide the storage and synchronization you request.
3. Local Storage and Offline Records
The app stores copies of records and pending offline changes and signatures in your browser. Pending changes remain on the device until successfully uploaded. Internet access, a valid Google session, and available Google services may be needed to complete synchronization.
Clearing browser data, removing app storage, losing the device, or browser storage eviction can erase local records that have not synced. Check the sync status before removing local data.
4. Hosting and Third-Party Services
The website and app are hosted using Cloudflare Pages and use Google services for sign-in and storage. Pages also load fonts from Google Fonts. These providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser information, and request details when your browser connects to them, and handle it under their own privacy policies.
My Jump Log does not add advertising trackers or behavioral analytics. Browser storage is used for authentication, preferences, and app functionality.
5. Your Choices, Retention, and Deletion
You control records stored in your Google account. You can edit or delete spreadsheet entries and signature files directly in Google Sheets and Drive. Removing the app or revoking its access does not delete those files. Google’s own retention, trash, and recovery rules apply.
You can revoke My Jump Log’s access in your Google Account settings. Sign out to remove the stored session, and use your browser’s site-data controls to remove remaining local caches and preferences. Clearing local data does not delete Drive files, and deleting Drive files may not immediately remove cached copies on your devices.
Only enter or share information and signatures you are authorized to use. If you voluntarily send records to an AI tool or another service, that service’s policies apply; this is not required to use My Jump Log.
6. Policy Updates
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the app or its data handling. The effective date identifies the current version.
